Issue Description
This issue discusses a wide-range of contemporary national, regional and international strategic issues. It has an account of various emerging challenges and opportunities that affect Pakistan as well as the South Asian region in general. The first article discusses the Pulwama-Balakot crisis and its potential strategic implications for the region. The second article takes a ‘regulatory perspective’ to assess and understand the measures that Pakistan has taken to ensure physical protection of nuclear materials and installations. The third article explores the nuclear decision making process in the United States of America through a case study. The fourth article looks at potential avenues of space cooperation and how it can be utilized as a diplomatic tool to increase cooperation and ties among regional states.
In addition, CISS research team has reviewed three books by national and international authors which cover contemporary security and strategic issues.
