Issue Description

This issue covers a wide-range of contemporary national, regional and international strategic and security issues. The five research papers touch upon disparate themes that impact global politics and shape state behavior. The first two papers discuss the relationship between great power competition and evolving military technology and strategic stability. The third paper explores the motivations that drive the selling and acquisition of arms by suppliers and buyers respectively by taking India as a case study. The fourth paper discusses the increasing and significant role of cyber warfare and how it influences global power politics. The last paper covers the genesis and evolution of Pakistan’s regulatory regime for the safety of nuclear power plants in accordance with international standards.

In addition, this Insight includes two book reviews which cover security and historical accounts.
